“Studio Groundwork - Haus Gausburg“. 2025, Salzburg, Austria / Mexico City.

Construction of a media art studio and residency space in the Alpine landscape near UNESCO World Heritage Salzburg. Haus Gausburg is conceived not as a private residence but as a long-term media art studio and artist residency, intended to host invited artists, researchers and collaborators. Designed in collaboration with PPAA (Mexico City), the project establishes architectural ground for a practice exploring how computation takes physical form and is experienced in space. Sustainability is integral to the project through geothermal energy and local craftsmanship.

This project is grounded in long-term collaboration and a respect for process over speed. Architecture is treated as cultural ground, a space that holds intention, uncertainty and practice over time. Decisions emerge through dialog, iteration and care, allowing the work to grow without betraying its core. The goal is to build conditions for meaningful presence and exchange, where collaborators participate in a sustained inquiry shaped by trust, responsibility and attention.
